What if no one had ever taught us the importance of washing our hands after using the bathroom, or the danger of infection when dirt is left in a wound? Most of us were taught basic principles of good hygiene from the time we began walking. However, for many people living in remote areas of developing countries, these principles are foreign to them. That is why when a well is drilled, it is important that the community also understand some basic principles to keep the containers and the well free from contamination.
In the village of Bombali Bana, malaria can be prevented by the proper use of a treated mosquito net. When a mother receives a treated mosquito net for her child, she must be taught how to use it properly to prevent her child from becoming infected with malaria, a disease that can mean death for a child.
A donation to train a family in managing the resources donated to them is as important as the gift itself. Check out the gifts below and make a difference for someone in the village of Bombali Bana. Your donation to one or more of the projects can also have a life-changing impact for eternity. Designate your gift on your offering envelope and help us bring transformational development to every family in the village.
