Global Ministries' goal is to challenge and equip each individual of Central Wesleyan Church to reach beyond Holland with the saving message of Jesus Christ.

Central has always seen its purpose as being involved in outreach and winning others to Jesus Christ. We believe our mission and our calling is not only for Holland or for America, but for the world.

Our aim is to personalize world evangelization by promoting prayer, encouraging financial investment through Faith Promise Giving for Missions, providing opportunities for hands-on participation through short-term teams, and through discipling people who desire to make missions their career.

Central has set a goal to see 200 of our people enter full-time Christian service during this decade. To see this goal reached, Central encourages and equips people to use their gifts in local and cross-cultural ministries. We also want to be involved in the planting of 100 churches and the training of 300 national pastors around the world before 2010. With God’s help, we can reach the world for Christ.

Perspectives
Be the salt of the earth. It heals, flavors and causes thirst. But it does nothing on it's own. It must interact to have purpose. If it fails to be used, it loses its power and purpose.

"You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again?"
—Matthew 5:13

Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, but how can we be used? How can we fulfill the purpse He has for us? Learn how to use your skills and passions to glorify God in all the earth—no matter your location or vocation. The Perspectives course will expose you to true stories of how God is using people like you, and it will provide you with a greater perspective to live your life with eternal significance and purpose.

Major Global Thrusts

Global Influence is involved with two major global thrusts in ministry:

	Karis Project Reaching Muslim people in a Central Asian country through long-term missionaries, strategic partnerships and short-term teams. We are working to improve the quality of life for the Karis people by building schools, teaching English and computer technology, as well as bringing them the gospel and starting churches among them.
	Bhojpuri The Hindu Bhojpuri people living in northern India have very little opportunity to hear the gospel. We are involved in strategic partnerships to bring the gospel to the Bhojpuri through radio broadcasts and the Jesus film in order to help establish churches among them.
