Community Groups are designed to give additional training and study of God’s Word and to encourage spiritual growth and personal relationship with Jesus. Community Groups also provide opportunities to socialize, serve, pray, connect and grow together. These groups range in size and meet on Sunday mornings. Groups start January 6 unless otherwise noted. Sundays, 8 a.m.


Encore (C161) Larry Johnson
This group of adults 60+ enjoys Bible studies, planned activities, a focus on missions and fellowship. For more information, please call 395.3135.

50+@8 (C165) Darrell Turner
This class for adults 50+ is discussion oriented where we’ll explore our journeys of faith and challenge ourselves with some soul surgery. We're currently studying "Seeking the Face of God" by Gary Thomas. We will follow this with a study of The Miracles of Jesus with passages from the Gospel of John. To finish the Spring, we will work through a series entitled Four Men of God (Abraham, Joseph, Moses and David), using selected Scriptures.

His Workmanship (Gym) Lynn Bruce
This interactive class focuses on the practical application of inductive Bible study. Join us for a great time of interaction, fellowship and prayer.

All About Prayer (A255) Bill & Lu Maatman
This class for adults of all ages will have a focused time of prayer. Join us as we pray for one another, our church and our community.

Family Builders (C167) Parent Team
This dynamic and interactive class for parents of older elementary children through teens helps equip parents in their relationship with Christ, each other and their children in order to encourage and support them in the joys and challenges of parenting. We are currently studying "Effective Parenting in a Defective World" by Chip Ingram.

Friendship Class (C163)
A class for mentally or physically challenged individuals. Teaching is done one-on-one and is age and ability appropriate.

Great Expectations (C165) Dennis Perkins & George Beals
This class will explore the Scriptures in our continuing study of Luke. All ages are welcome.

Life Connections (C161) Team
This is a group for adult singles who want a fun, safe place for spiritual growth and connections. We will have various speakers and topics during the year.

Lifemates & Family Starters (C166) Dave & Gayle Deur
This group is for engaged and young married couples with and without children. We will be doing a verse-by-verse study on the book of James during our Winter/Spring term. This is a great way to connect with other young married couples.

Ten Fifty Continued (C162) Spencer Rasmussen & Team
This class has facilitated discussions about the previous week’s sermon regarding application to our lives. Join us for a great time of interaction, fellowship and prayer.

Wisdom for Living (A242) LoriJo Schepers & Team
This class travels through the Bible on a verse-by-verse basis, uncovering ways to apply the Scriptures to our daily lives. The lessons are personal, challenging and encouraging for your everyday walk. This is an excellent class for those new to faith and to Central, as well as growing believers seeking a deeper devotion to Jesus. We are currently studying the book of Revelation. All ages are welcome.

In the Reaching Higher class, we will be continuing our exciting and relevant study in the book of Acts in the new year.
