Premarital

My fiancée and I went to counseling to ensure our marriage would be healthy and centered on God.

Marital
I went to counseling because my wife and I were contemplating divorce, we just couldn't stop arguing. After a few sessions, we've started praying together and are finding ways to renew our marriage.

Family
My husband and I brought our son, who was 16 years old, to counseling. Our son had been running with the wrong crowd, and had contemplated suicide. Through the counseling process, the communication in our family has greatly improved and my son has been actively involved in the high school ministry. Things aren't perfect, but praise God, they're getting better.

Personal Adjustment
I went to counseling because I had been laid off from my job of 10 years. Stress and anxiety overwhelmed me, to the point that I had lost faith in God. Today, through incorporating counseling with other ministries here at Central, I have a new lease on life and am learning my purpose in God’s kingdom.

Spiritual Life
I went to counseling because I felt angry at God. I thought he had abandoned me, and I felt like he was withholding his blessings from me for reasons I couldn't explain. Today, my insights into God and the Bible have multiplied and my faith is renewed.

Conflict Resolution
I went to counseling because many of my relationships were strained. I just felt angry all the time, and didn't know why. Through counseling I have learned more about me and how I relate to different personalities. I feel much more peace today.

Depression
I went to counseling because I just couldn't stop crying. I had isolated myself, felt tired all the time, and just wasn't myself. Going to counseling helped me sort through some of the demons of my past and I’m now active again and leading a healthier lifestyle.

Crisis & Grief
I went to counseling because my best friend was killed in a car accident. I just didn't know how to live anymore, and each day was too much of a struggle to get through. Though I'll always grieve the loss of my friend, counseling has allowed me to vent my anger, cry through the pain, and put death into perspective.
