Office Help: Serve a morning or afternoon, once a week or bi-weekly to help with a variety of office work: Offering Counter, Attendance Entry, Bulk Mail Processor, Work Room (copying, etc) and Special projects.

Congregational Care
Meal Ministry: This ministry is provided for families who are recuperating from illness, a hospital stay or surgery, a death in the family or have just brought home a new baby. This is a great way to bless a family in a time of need. If you would like to join others by providing a meal on occasion, please call the Congregational Care office at 395.3114 or email us to sign up. Windows (Shut-Ins): Many people are unable to attend CWC as a result of various limitations. This ministry is seeking to reach out to those individuals who desire to stay in touch with their church family but are unable to leave their home or room. Hospital visitation CARE Team: Caring About Real Experiences–A ministry that seeks to extend the love, comfort and compassion of Jesus Christ to those who are admitted to the hospital. Crossroads: If you are interested in coming alongside and mentor someone who is unemployed or just be there for them as a source of encouragement and support, please contact the Congregational Care Office. Connections
Baptism Team: Assist those who are being baptized in a variety of ways. Teams needed for registration, to guide people to rooms, to help them safely in and out of the water, to hand out the gifts, to hold towels and to encourage people all along the way. SHAPE Facilitators/Hosts: The SHAPE Class meets quarterly. Set up and host these classes or teach the shape curriculum. Training will be provided. Discovering Central Hosts: Welcome and connect with people who are new to Central at this class which meets approximately every other month. Facilities
We need winter volunteers! We'd love to have you help us out in one of the most unique volunteer opportunities we have at Central. We need help with:
- Operating a snow blower
- Driving a snow plow truck
- Operating laoders, and
- Using plain old snow shovels
Experience is preferred, but we will happily train those who are willing! Please contact Dwayne (see below) to sign up or for more info.
Mowing: Team needed to mow using our riding lawn mowers on a regular schedule throughout the summer, 2-3 hours every other week. Another team is needed to use the self-propelled mowers on smaller areas around our campus. Trimming: Use a gas-powered trimmer to trim grass around our campus. Landscaping: Assist with various landscape projects. Irrigation: Work on our sprinkling system throughout spring and summer. Nativity Set Crew: Work with a team of people the first weekend after Thanksgiving to set up our nativity set outdoors. Christmas Lights: Work with the facilities team installing Christmas lights around the campus and removing them after the Christmas. Snow Shoveling: Requires being available to shovel our walks and steps during the winter months. Loader Operator: Experienced operators needed to push snow with our loader. Snow Blower: Team needed to plow snow around our campus. Set Up: This team assists in setting up tables and chairs for big events. Windows: Clean windows in various areas. Door Hardware: Fix locks and hinges as needed. Carpentry: Help with projects such as building shelves, etc. Mechanic: Licensed mechanics to work on our various vehicles. Electrician: Licensed work on small electrical projects as needed. Plumber: Work on small plumbing projects as needed. Light Maintenance: Replace light bulbs throughout the facility. Change air filters on heating and cooling equipment. Vehicle Cleaner: Team needed to clean our vehicles. Runner: Be available to pick up parts and run small errands as needed. HVAC Technician: Experienced technicians to change filters and do light repairs as needed. Rider Vacuum: Clean carpets using our riding vacuum. Vacuum: Vacuum areas with our double-wide machines. Custodial Help: Dust, clean and wash various areas around our facilities. Flyers: Assist distributing informational flyers into the pews. First Impressions
Greeter: Warmly welcome those who enter our doors. Greeters are especially sensitive and attentive to the needs of guests. Serve one or two times a month. Guide: Be available to personally escort guests to their desired location throughout the building. Guides are able to make a connection with the guests they serve and provide information about the church and the various programs we have to offer. Serve one or two times a month. Information Desk: Welcome, direct and provide people with information about Central one Sunday a month. Guest Reception Host: Assist Pastor Paul and Marilyn in greeting new guests and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere twice a quarter following either service. Usher: Assist people as they arrive in the Worship Center. Help facilitate our worship services by distributing worship folders, taking the offering and assisting during communion services. Their attitude helps to set the tone for everything else that happens during services. Ushers need to be friendly and committed to serving Christ and the church. Ushers are provided the flexibility to serve with others on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis. Kid Central
Would you consider how you might use your gifts to positively impact children for eternity as a friend, mentor or small group leader, musician, tech provider, craft assistant, teacher, photographer, greeter, special event helper, games, drama, puppets, special needs buddy and more! The opportunities are as deep and wide as the sea! Nursery: Our nursery is based on a rotation schedule of parents and other volunteers willing to rock and play with babies. They're so sweet!
Early Childhood and Elementary: These programs are based on a large group/small group teaching and worship format. Presently we have most of our large group teachers and are looking for small group leaders who are willing to interact with a group of children each week to follow-up the large group lesson with life application—all materials are provided. These are important, interactive roles between kids and their small group leaders. We also need some musicians. We'd love to have you on this crew!
Midweek Programs: This program offers a variety of opportunities for interaction with children, and our programs have multiple aspects: teaching, crafts, puppets, derby cards, scrapbooking, cooking, fishing, archery and so much more. You won't get bored!
Events: Kid Central offers awesome events throughout the course of the year—if you like planning big fun, this is for you!
Check-In Desks: We love to have friendly faces at our children's check-in desk. Do you have the gift to greet and make people feel welcome? Your beautiful smile is needed!
Other: We also have many opportunities for tech support, photographers, creative arts planners for classrooms and projects and buddies for special needs children.
You may see an age-level ministry coordinator for a volunteer application form and a police check form or download them and return them to a children’s ministry desk at church. We will also need a copy of the front and back of your driver’s license which you may bring in with the forms. Thanks for considering Kid Central as a place to positively impact a child. Kids Hope
To “Be the One” to change a life through Kids Hope USA is a Five Step Process. Step 1: Choose A or B
- Fill out our application and our police check form.
- Download and print a Kids Hope Application Packet.
State law requires that we have a background check on file for anyone who has contact with children.
Step 2: You will be contacted to come in for a face-to-face interview so we can get to know you. This aids us in assigning you the "right" child. You can also get any of your questions answered. Step 3: Register which training date you will attend, or indicate it at your interview. This three-hour training is required for all new mentors to equip you to begin mentoring a child.
Step 4: Attend the Orientation session at Jefferson School (30 – 60 minutes)

- set a day and time for your tutoring session

Photography: Do you take your camera with you everywhere you go? Do you love to capture life in action? We would love for you to capture how God is working at Central on camera. All photography is done on your own time with your own resources. Photography is done on an as-needed basis.
Print Graphics: If you’re a graphic artist or would like to learn, this is an opportunity for you! We’re looking for volunteers to help us with the many projects we turn around on a monthly basis. We have requests ranging from logo designs to booklets, invite cards to posters.
Writing: Do you love to write? We need writing for so many things including: cover articles for the Weekly, our website, brochures, sermon series and more! If you have even a little bit of time during a week, we'd love to have you come in and help, or work from home!

Outreach
Breakfast with Baby: Breakfast with Baby is a support resource for expectant mothers or mothers (7 months pregnant) with children up to 12 months old who are facing financial and other challenges. Breakfast with Baby meets at 10 a.m. on the 2nd Saturday of every month, in the Gym. Volunteers, please sign up and plan to be here by 9 a.m. We are always in need of baby items such as: diapers, wipes, new (or slightly used) baby outfits or items. We also need cribs! For any donation over $100, we can send you a letter for a tax-deduction.

Hope 4 the Single Again: This program,which runs on Tuesday evenings September–November and January–March, is for people going through divorce, separation or relationship break-up. Shepherds are needed to lead small groups of adults. Confident Kids Helpers are needed to help children in 1st–5th grade, deal with changes in their lives. Childcare helpers are needed to help with children ages 2 months—kindergarten while their parents attend Hope 4 the Single Again. Middle School
Youth Band Helper/Facilitator: Have a passion for worship and teens? Come be a part of our youth worship teams as we train, equip and raise up the next generation of worship leaders. No musical talent required. Small Group Leader: Want to make a lasting impact in someone’s life? We are looking for adults, young and old, to invest 3+ hours a week in the lives of students. No skills required, just a bit of passion for teens. Tech Coordinator: Have a passion for tech or teens or both? We need skilled or teachable adults to learn, train and equip others for this ministry.
High School e729 Leader: Help out on Wednesday nights with the high school students. Hang out and build relationships. About 2 hours a week and occasional relational connections outside of weekly programs. No skills are required. e915 Leader: Connect at e915, our Sunday morning experience for high schoolers. Lead a small group of students in digesting and discussing Scripture and build relationships with them. Tech Team Leader: Help out on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights once a month with sound, video and organizing student volunteers. Video Team: Team members needed to capture the services on film as well as help with switching, video and anything else you could think of! Audio Team: Audio assistants and stagehands needed! Want to know what happens in the black hole on stage in the first service? Every dreamed of running one of those big mixing consoles? I'll teach you how to mix like a pro! We cannot amplify God's word without the help of volunteers like you. Technical knowledge is welcome, but not required. Training will be provided. Time commitment is every other Sunday from 9:25-11 a.m. Mixing will require some additional training (at your own pace) Monday nights from 5-6:30 p.m. Current schedule.

Worship Arts
Through the arts we will excellently and exceptionally lead God's people in exaltation of Him, edification of each other and evangelization of the unchurched. "Shout with joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!"—Psalm 66:1
Choir: We are 100+ voices who love to worship God through singing. We are multi-generational and multi-cultural. Ages range from high school to senior citizens. The choir's ministry is diverse. In addition to the Sunday morning worship experience, the choir is also invited to participate in seasonal events, N. O.W. (Night of Worship), Worship Arts Celebration and "Outside theWalls" events such as singing in: nursing homes, prisons, outdoor venues and other events and services both at Central and other churches. Orchestra: We are a large group made up of individual parts who use our gifts to glorify the Lord with a variety of musical abilities and experiences (from high schoolers to senior citizens). Get more info.
Vocalist: The vocalists are a collection of skilled singers who feel the call of God to use their gifts for His glory and not their own. On occasion, vocalists will include visitors from outside of Central Wesleyan Church, who are invited to use their voices to lead our people in worship.
