Serving on the Leadership Team here at FUEL is a privilege. It is a reward for faithful service, and should be taken very seriously. The following pages consist of a commitment overview, thought-provoking questions, and some exciting details in regards to the endless opportunities that could be available to you!

THANK YOU for taking your time to pray and read over this, and determine whether or not God is calling you to serve Him alongside of us!!

FUEL Team

Student Leadership Team members are not just committed to serve, but are committing to be examples, by word and deed, of the Christian life. It gives you an opportunity to go beyond just participating in the church or student ministry by equipping you to grow into the leadership role God has gifted you with.

Our Prayer

That God will use the FUEL SLT to rise up a generation of Christian leaders fully equipped to build up the body of Christ!

There will be tons of options for FUEL SLT members to consider when wanting to serve; however, most importantly there are certain commitments that have to be met along the way!

When I join the SLT, I am committing to:

  • 1. Be committed to…
    • • CHRIST first
    • • Others second
    • • Myself third
  • 2. Filling out the application and interviewing with a student ministry team member.
  • 3. Regularly attending Youth group events:
    • a. Sunday Morning Groups/FUEL (at least three a month)
    • b. ALL SLT meetings/training
    • c. Leading by example—welcoming new students, inviting friends, helping with implementation of worship/fellowship events.
  • 4. Having a PAUL (someone mentoring you), TIMOTHY (someone you mentor), and BARNABAS (accountability partner)
  • 5. Signing/Adhering to/Held Accountable for the SLT Covenant.

Still interested?

  • 1. Spiritual Gifts test—we want to help you find what you are gifted at, what you are passionate about, and what you love
    • a. We will find a ministry fit and plug you in!
    • b. The opportunities are ENDLESS so don’t stay in the box!
  • 2. The Awkward Game!—remembering that it is HARD to come into church sometimes, so find someone that needs a friend, and BE ONE!
  • 3. Discipleship training—want to lead small groups for the SLT Student Ministry? We want you to! But we want to help… so continuous training to prepare you for/in studies.
    • a. Weekly Bible Studies
    • b. Mentoring
  • 4. Service Projects—throughout the year—to teach our hearts that it isn’t about where, but HOW
  • 5. Retreat – a couple times a year we will get away for training and planning

I have read and understand the overall goal and commitments of being a SLT member.
